Campaign Finance Reform
In December of 2003, Judge Wanda Bryant became the first judicial candidate to participate in the North Carolina Judicial Reform Public Financing Program. The optional program, open only to candidates for seats on the North Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, was established as part of the N.C. Judicial Reform Act enacted in 2002.
